Here is yet another Letter to the Editor that has been ignored by the mainstream Wyoming media sources. Cowboy State Daily viciously attacks Representative Ward while singing praises of her opponenet. Only LTEs attacking Ward and supporting the opponent are published. We are giving voice to a consituent of HD 57.
(edited for grammar and spelling)
Dear HD 57 and Casper,
As a constituent of Jeanette Ward in HD57, I agree with and stand by Jeanette and what she has been and is fighting for.
HB50, the “What is a Woman Act”, is exactly what Casper needs as well as the state. Our
daughters are in jeopardy of playing against biological males in sports and possibly
losing out on opportunities and scholarships to boys who “claim” they “feel” like a girl. Without
this bill our daughters are primed for sharing personal spaces such as bathrooms and locker
rooms with boys. Is Casper really ok with young girls sharing these spaces with boys?
Representative Ward is constantly fighting against big government and trying to keep money in her constituents’ pockets. MEDICAID expansion does not do that. How many taxes do hard
working HD57 constituents or Casper residents need to give before it breaks us?
Jeanette voted to lower our taxes every time and to put a little over 200 million dollars back into our pockets. SF54 overwhelmingly passed the house and senate and was vetoed by our so-called republican governor.
Rightly so, Jeanette did not vote to fund non-profit organizations becuase that money would be coming from our taxes. Non-profit organizations should not be funded by tax payer money. She fought to keep that money in our pockets. HD57 constituents as well as Casper
citizens and Wyoming citizens have the right to donate as much of their own money as they see fit to non-profits. Legislators do not have the right to give our money away to any non-profit organization that continues to think they need to be subsidized by hard working Wyoming citizens. That is what private donations are for.
Represenitive Ward believes in keeping money in our pockets, keeping government small, and protecting our children. She and many others are continually fighting against organizations that would love to keep taxes high because that is more money in their pockets, and organizations that want more government regulation - for example the WEA.
So, yes, HD57 does need Jeanette Ward. If you want your daughters safe, and money in your pockets to support your family, remember Jeanette Ward for HD57.
Renea Redding, resident of HD57.
